The Markets of Warwick was featured in a local newspaper, the Berea Community, on 28 October 2011. The journalist encourages the public to embrace the experience, saying:
Warwick Junction is a fascinating place and the public are invited to experience it…Schools and the public are encouraged to go along and find out more about this fascinating space in the heart of Durban…
Warwick Junction is unique and is the only location of markets of this magnitude, and with a diversity not seen anywhere else in South Africa.
To learn more about the Markets of Warwick, visit the website. To view pictures of the nearly 2000 visitors that have embraced the experience since the 2010 FIFA World Cup when the project was initiated by the informal trading community, find “Markets of Warwick” on Facebook.

I was fortunate to participate in a tour with Lindeni today (8th June 2012). What a fantastic experience! I last went to Victoria St about 30 years ago. We were carefully looked after by our guide and her 2 colleagues even though we kept going off the trail lured by new exciting experiences. I tried to access your Facebook site with no success and would love to share it.
Thank you
Thank you for your message and your encouraging words. We are truly happy that you enjoyed your experience at the markets. I will certainly pass your message to my colleagues.
Our facebook group page is Markets of Warwick. It does come up when you do a friends search. It will be great if you could share some pictures that you took during the tour.
We are hoping to seeing you again soon.
Just to once again say thank you so much to you and your tour guide and “body guards” for an extremely enjoyable morning (8th June 2012). I think we all learnt a lot which was the initial intention of the tour and we were all so impressed with everything we did see. You are all doing a remarkable job thank you once again.
Hello Margie,
Thank you for so much for your message and encouraging words. We are so happy that you and your guests had a great experience. Thank you for sharing your photos with us, we would like to use some of them onto our social network mediums (facebook and website), if that’s okay with you.
We are looking forward to seeing again soon.
Have a great day.
Hi Patrick and Tasmi,
I want to thank you both again for the fantastic tour on Friday. Stephen, Brittany and Julia were quite interested and I personally learned even more this time though. It was great to have both of you there to give different sides of the various stories that create the Markets of Warwick.
You both did a great job.
Warm regards,
Mark
As our valued partners from Sustainable Cities International/Imagine Durban, it was a pleasure to take you all around. Also, it is always fun seeing a group that soaks up information and embraces the experience as enthusiastically you all did!
